We Stand Together
The Samba Dance Academy and I, Vanessa, stand with our African American community and our Afro Brazilian community, roots of Samba, for a just, kinder, stronger and united world. I want you to to know that I value and embrace all of you dancers. I am here to learn too. Please share any resources, experiences and anything you would like so we may come together. I would love to hear from you.
As we stand together for justice and equality and against racism and injustice, we have to remain awake. For justice to truly happen it cannot be "a trend". This is not a fad. I reached out to our black dancers in our wonderful community while compiling this list with resources bellow, they were graceful to assist me and I want to thank all of them for their time and for sharing them with us. Let's all be the change we want to see in this world! See resources links below.
